My Story
Chara Presley
Mountains and rivers surround my home in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. Here my two children grew up amongst cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents and I still live with my husband, Michael.
A wife and mom of 2 wonderful children as well as a new grandchild, Chara is passionate about living live freely and loves to encourage those around her. She delights in living spontaneously and has traveled extensively with a heart for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. As a principal and teacher, she has also enjoyed pioneering a private Christian school for 11 years. Chara loves to connect with others and inspire them to find confidence and freedom by growing in their relationship with God. You might also find her sanding wood for her next wood project, hosting travellers or cooking creatively for her husband and friends.

This is the year that my husband of 22.5 years suddenly died. Jesus led me through an intimate season of grieving and showed me that his love and his presence are more powerful than death. His goodness is breathtaking.

Sitting with the Holy Spirit, I began a new adventure writing in the Spirit and poured out “Loved.” In five weeks it was completed and sent for publishing.
- Today
Living in the Kootenays and enjoying guests in our Airbnb. I look after my grandson Finley and hang out with close friends and family. Father is showing me how to find fullness in simplicity, like a green plant with its leaves drinking in the sun while its white roots drink in the deep water below the surface.. I still love to worship & pray with others. God’s presence often surprises me in everyday life.
